AISEH! time to get my ass on my chair and start updating! Alright, from the start of the holiday , wad i have did was jus going for band "enjoy" teaching sec 1s and magdalene and huiluan as well as playing my instrument. I have been to 3 concert, 1st(10 june 7.30pm) is the university band festival 2010 conducted by associate professor ho hwee long and mr takehiro oura. Their are 2 bands . 1st band played carnival day (chang-su koh) , Symphonic poem "nothern mother earth - praise for all living things" (satoshi yagisawa) , three spectacles for navy blue ( eiji suzuki) and morning, noon and night in vienna (franz von suppe, arr.by A.Morelli). 2nd band played Florentiner March ( Julius fucik ,Arr. By karel belohoubek), "GR" selections(masamiczs amano), turandot : selections from the opera (giacomo puccini , Arr. By yo goto ) and Der Volgelhandler (carl zeller, Arr. by eiji suzuki) . 2nd concert(14june 7.30pm) is a concert by the anglo-chinese junior college. they played March willing and able(satoshi yagisawa ) , A movement for rosa (mark camphouse) , colonial song (percy grainger) , Overture 1812 ( peter I. Tchaikovsky arr. yoshihiro kimura) , chorale and danza (vaclav nelhybel) , spartacus(jan van der roost) , jounetsu tairiku ( hakese taro Arr. endo yukio) , american graffiti xvi (oldies) (arr. naohiro iwai) and tokyo boogie woogie ( hattori ryoichi). 3rd concert (16june 7.30pm ) concert by Music talent development centre (MTDC)! they played Light cavalry overture ( franz von suppe) , the summit ( john moss) , hobbits dance and hymn ( johan de meiji arr. paul lavender) , earth, wind and fire in concert (richard saucedo) , flight:adventure in the sky ( benjamin yeo) , percussion ensemble spain ( chick corea arr. marvin khoo and ramu S/O thiruyanam), saxophone ensemble the lone ar-ranger goes sax mad( composer G.Rossini and others Arr. by philip R. Buttall, re arr. nigel wood) , Brass quintet Londonderry air(arr. stephen roberts) , Georgy girl ( tom springfield) , Air "on the G string" (transcribed by A.frackenpohl, composed by J.s Bach) , March-Bou-Shu (satoshi yagisawa), one chinese song? :S in swing and last dance fever. HAHAS all the concert is great! Yeah miss the times in MTDC while watching their concert yesterday.. alright i stop here for now.. heading to tuition! BYE!
